Weta Workshop Unleashed Not To Be Missed
The Weta Workshop Unleashed is an extraordinary world of movie magic. During our visit to the Auckland studio, we were introduced to the artistry and craftsmanship involved in creating movie props. While the props department was both informative and interesting, it was overshadowed by the enchanting fantasy world in the next room. There, a magnificent castle perched on a cliff served as the centerpiece, complete with a backdrop of rolling hills. The lighting effects enhanced the scene as the curved sky transitioned from early morning to full daylight, then into early evening, and finally to a beautiful night sky.
As participants in the workshop, we were invited to create our own miniature models using discarded items found around the house, including cardboard, scrap materials, leftover paint, and easily accessible crafting supplies.
Robbie and Margie participated in this activity. In the picture, you can see what Robbie was able to create in about half an hour. She started working on a tree that we had seen at one of our destinations in New Zealand. Robbie used alfoil, glue, paints and some crafting moss. Although she needed more time to finish, I think her work looks great. My effort, on the other hand, was definitely not worthy of a picture.
