Gildrandra

The Gilgandra Information Center is a fantastic place to visit, packed with interesting attractions. The Center features an art gallery, a heritage and military display, a gift shop, and a wonderful café located outside. There is also a unique Cooee soundproof chamber where you can test your skills and see if you can beat the loudest cooee! The staff at the Information Center are very helpful, and the ladies are lovely. Leanne, the chief cook and bottle washer, was running the café on her own the day we visited. The scones, jam and cream were huge and very nice. She is a delightful and fun-loving character. If you're traveling through New South Wales, the Gilgandra Information Center is a stop you definitely shouldn’t miss.
